About Me:
Hi, I'm originally from south London, England. Yes, I have an accent, but you should be able to understand me. If not, I'll write it down. I have been in Canada since 1990, in BC since 1993, and in Duncan since 1995. I write, and have contributed articles to magazines, both print and online, usually involving true crime. That can be gruesome at times, but interesting. I love reading and writing, movies, and camping. I can cook, I've been told that I'm like Gordon Ramsay. Not the cooking, probably the swearing (What can I say, I'm a Brit, it's part of our nature). I believe that life should be fun more than anything else. I laugh A LOT, but I can be serious, though I try to keep that to a minimum. I am completely easygoing, I don't get stressed, and I almost NEVER get angry. Life is way too short for negative emotions. I love animals, right now I have a Senegal parrot. She's actually not mine, but my daughters, but she couldn't take it to university so I became it's keeper. I have three other kids, two boys, both at university, and a girl who lives with her mom, but I see her all the time. Anything else you want to know, just ask. So what makes me ME? Well, as much as I would like to say I'm unique, I'm not. I'm just like everyone else, a variation on a theme. Am I fantastically good looking like George Clooney, Brad Pitt or Paul Reubens? No, of course not. I don't lie or pretend to be something I'm not. This is not because I'm special, it's because it makes life easier. If I don't lie, then I can't be caught out. And why pretend to be anything other than me, I'll never be able to keep the pretense up. No, I'm me, an average person. So, intent. I'm down as long term, which is everyone's goal, but everything has to start out as casual, so let's do that and see where the adventure takes us. My photos need up dating, which I will do when I have someone who can take them (I don't like selfies, they NEVER look good). I have been asked why there is such a difference in the photos. Well, back in 2017, I decided to lose weight, and didn't want the expense of Jenny Craig, and didn't like the Atkins or Scarborough diet. So, I opted for cancer of the mouth and throat. It worked great, I dropped 70lb. There are, of course, drawbacks. Pros: Easy weight loss, at no cost to you and no effort. Cons: Tendency to die. I put 50lb back on and it seems to have leveled off, so I look okay now.
If I think of anything else, I'll add it later.
