About Me:
I was raised by missionaries, primarily in the Congo. I loved my life there but the religion did not stick. I am an animist, the very belief system the missionaries went to destroy. Go figure. I moved to northeastern Florida in the summer of 2013, from Guatemala, to be near my old dad. I knew he was nearing the end of his life. He died in September of 2014, the day after turning 90. I left behind in Guatemala a job teaching music, a house which is currently rented, and a partially-built lakeside house, on Lake Atitlan, which I am currently selling on craigslist. By the time dad died, I had become a Realtor. Mom is doing well, at 90 now, and I have decided, since I'm in good health, to work until I'm 70, take social security at that point, and see the world. I am anxious to revisit Africa in general and the Congo in particular; also love Europe, Britain, and Scandinavia; and have not yet been to Asia. I enjoy playing and singing, and have done so professionally: guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, drums, some keyboard, recorder. Love to jam. English is my native tongue, but I have good French and Spanish, as well as a smattering of Norwegian/Swedish, Lingala, and Kituba.
My Ideal Match:
