I guess I should start by telling you a little about me. I'm one of those people who start off quiet, kinda watching people and getting to know who and where we are, then out of nowhere, I become very boisterous. Boom Ben Stein to Robyn Williams in 0.06 seconds. :)
I keep a positive mindset in that I look for the opportunities in all things good and bad. I neither say the glass is half full or half empty, but say it's a glass of water, what can we do with it? Do we drink it, pour it on a friend, give it to someone who needs help, paint a picture, take a photo, interview it on a live stream, what can we do with this wonderful glass of water? With all that said, I also keep it real. I have no illusions about life and who people are.
I want to live in the moment. The past made me who I am today and the future is a story we have yet to write.
I try to hit the gym several times a week and practice Japanese swordsmanship 3 or more times a week. I got into art, photography, and videography, I'm a huge movie fan, and love most forms of music. I've done live streams, improv roleplay theater, and podcasts. I like to try new things all the time, so there is a good chance I either learned about it, looked into it, or I'm interested in trying it.
I am an IT professional following my career path, yes that means I don't have a job but a career that offers me the potential to grow and do new and exciting things. For the past 37 years, my life has been dedicated to providing for my children and family. Now it is time for me to attend to my needs and wants.
I can be a homebody or spend a night out on the town. It all depends on what is going on. I tend to stay home and save up the money for one or two vacations over the year. But that doesn't mean I am not going to Renfest or some other special event either. Sure going out on the town is fun, but it is nothing like traveling to see and do things you don't get to do every day. I am not a fan of the bar or standing around talking. When I go out I want to do something that creates a memory. Something we can take pictures and video of. Something we can go to work the next day and tell stories that captivate our friends. I work hard for the money I earn, I want to spend it on wonders, not cheap things quickly forgotten.
