My name is Wenona. My Indian name is Wabun Anung which means in Ojibwe Morning Star. I am Native American. I have a BA in Business and Management from Alverno College and I am the Communications Ambassador for the Alverno College Alumnae Council.
I am a Certified Peer Support and Wellness Specialist. I am also a Medicine Woman and High Priestess for 30 years. I apprenticed with Medicine Woman and whose Indian name is Wambli Wasu Winyan which in Lakota means Hail Eagle Woman. Hail Eagle Woman is of the Mohican, Oneida, Brothertown, and Santee Sioux Tribal Nations. Hail Eagle Woman also made me her Ashkabawish which is Medicine Helper who helped run Native American ceremonies and had the vision for my Indian name Wabun Anung which means in Ojibwe Morning Star.
I have been an Artist for 22 years trained in Drawing and Painting for 2 years at UW-MILWAUKEE. I am a writer, livestreamer, and OG YouTuber since May 28, 2006 for 12 years. In addition, I have been an Artist's Way Teacher for 22 years. It is my hope to share my creative healing journey in this blog.
