well ill start when i quit community college after one semester. the only reason i was there was because i had this dream ever since i was 8 years old. to be a major league pitcher. the greatest left handed pitcher ever. but the viet nam war took care of that for me.but i wasnt going to that death trap and i joined the navy before he army could scoop me up.so i end up on the biggest ship on the planet the john f kennedy bird farm (aircraft carrier)and ended up fighting other drunk americans instead of foreigners who had real guns and would be playing for keeps.anyway after 3 trips overseas to the meditteranian to spain, italy,france, greece, and a boatload of other places over there and 3 years of hating every moment of being there i got to get the hell out of there.after being back in oregon for awhile i kinda got itchy feet and decided i wanted to see alaska. so i bought this old pickup and put my stuff in the back and headed to seattle to catch the ferry.i went to sitka cause they had this japanese pulp mill with an american union.this waas about 1975 and for that time they paid faantastic wages for us to show up and do bout 30 minutes work every shift.i really saw and did some crazy stuff up there cause it was a wild place the bars were open til about 5am then theyd close for a couple hours to clean up then open up again. anyway after a few years of that i came back to good old home oregonmy parents had bought a small grocery store in the cascade mountains right by detroit reservoir.i guess i was destined for wild places like all resorts it swelled near to bursting in the summer. hardly no law around so we partied pretty hard. after about 10 years of that i settled down and ot a job looking to the future. mainly i mean retiring as early as i could with enough to live on. so i got a job hat had good benefits and retirement benefits.and when i retired in 2011 i got those itchty feet again. so i bought a medium sized trailer and loaded all my stuff up in it and hit the road and a month after i retired i was living in mazatlan mexico. what a beautiful place and wonderful people' i lved down there about 2 and a half years and decided it was time to come home i knew that was my last big adventure. i had lived with a girl in the roseburg area about 20 years before and loved the weather here so this is where i bought a little place and here i am. ive had one hell of a life and have seen and dont stuff very few people get to do. its beena great ride and i wouldnt change a thing. but i am looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings maybe itll be you lol the old hippie
