About Me:
I enjoy fishing when I can make time for it, however, lately that has been difficult to arrange. I bought a new, to me, home a few months ago, and making it livable has been a challenge. Additionally I really do like to travel, in country and out. I went to Europe this past September for a Rhine River Cruise, and then on to Munich for a peek at the Oktoberfest, which is always good fun. The drawback is that traveling alone isn't nearly as much fun as sharing with a companion. I'm not into computer games, as I prefer to be outside as much as I can. I enjoy craft fairs, yard sales, waterfront dining, a cruise, ocean, and river. I've always wanted to get a metal detector and see what " treasures" I might find. My TV taste is somewhat limited, and I watch movies, nature programs and documentaries mainly, and I don't remember the last sitcom I watched. My taste in music is simple, if I can understand the words, then I should enjoy listening to it. I seem to like pop, older rock and roll, ballads and folk. I am retired, and that's no surprise at my age. I retired from the US Army, and later from the State of Florida. I graduated from Austen Peay State University in Clarksville, Tn. In my youth I enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball, now I watch a bit now and then, however, I don't really have a passion for watching sports on TV. My health is pretty good, and I find that a little tune up now and then keeps me chugging along. If I have missed anything you would like to know more about, just ask, I find I don't have secrets anymore.
