Living in the burbs as a single man is tough. I was married for 10 years, separated 2 years ago and I’m still in the divorce process. I have 3 boys, ages 5, ,6 and 9. They live with me 5 days every two weeks. For the 9 days I don’t have them, I’m still trying to figure out where single people go to socialize. Although I’ve lived here for 12 years, I was entirely consumed by family life, and never had the time to build a social circle in this area. My circle was downtown. I’m a fun, smart, and respectful guy that like to do spontaneous fun things with cool people on my time off. Finding those people in the suburbs has been a little challenging since it’s kind of the land of families. I trust there are still single people to hang out with, I just haven’t quite figured out where they are hiding.
