About Me:
I'm a senior citizen, became a widower last year, and don't like being alone. Not looking for a young thing (I'm not that vain or stupid) but a cute, mature woman somewhere within a reasonably compatible age range. I'm not a rich man (Social Security, small pension, VA disability benefits, and income from a part-time job) so gold-diggers wouldn't be interested anyway. I'm a college grad with extensive post-grad work, I'm a Vietnam veteran, and yes, I served there overseas. I'm also a published author and poet in a small way. I have many interests, from astronomy to mythology, to the paranormal and many others. Avid reader. I live in a very small town and like it that way, I like movies and many kinds of music from “classical” to rock. I'm a dog lover, and have three. My disabled daughter (severely bipolar) lives with me, as do my my four beloved grandsons, older nine. I suffer from some of the incipient maladies that come with age, I'm limited to daytime only driving. I still work about 20-25 hours a week providing services to disabled adults, Mind is thankfully still sharp, and I have a good sense of humor (for example, I LOVED that old series MARRIED WITH CHILDREN and BLAZING SADDLES is one of my favorite movies.
