So! About me briefly: I have a good life. I've been long-retired from my official, initial career in the dental field. - Raised kids who are good citizens, nice people involved in their family, careers, and community. That was a rewarding (& busy!) Season of my life. And now - grandkids! They are interesting, dear, funny people - another rewarding phase of life - Who knew? :-) Other than my family and occasional church commitments, I enjoy evening walks with my dog, escaping with a good book, communicating with friends and sharing burdens and laughter together, marveling at Appalachian Mountain mist, and breathing in fresh ocean air; also love and easy waterfall "hike". I'm venturing out these days - learning Tai Chi (stretching is good or at least so they say!), and I'm semi-disciplining myself to re-learn the Spanish language. I took myself on a recent Road Trip down along the Texas Gulf Coast. It was both restful and invigorating! I've enjoyed traveling quite a bit over the years, and while that isn't top of my list these days, it's still on the table if something enticing beckons. I do enjoy dining out! But evenings savoring a good recipe/meal, book, and/or at-home movie are equally pleasing. I appreciate most music, especially show tunes and Texas Swing. I'm a forthright and cheerful person and am easily affectionate with my people. We are all flawed humans. That said - the character traits I pursue for myself and value in others are kindness, honesty, common sense, good effort, and good humor.
