About Me:
Well lets see...I'm a 55 yr old Divorced father of four grown daughters. I was born and raised in northern Indiana. To be perfectly open, I am a recovering alcoholic who after many years of making mistakes and being selfish and hurtful realized how much I needed and WANTED to change. I took it upon myself to seek help without really much knowledge of how or where to turn. Thankfully I found a short term treatment facility that helped by showing me a variety of treatments and facilities available to me. I spent a few days praying and asking for guidance. I chose a facility in very southern Indiana and stayed there for 24 days, while learning a great deal about the physical and especially mental parts my disease affects. I became very determined to learn and be open to changing my behaviors. I then went on to a sober living house in Louisville, Kentucky for 6 months where I lived and worked and eventually GOD and I decided I should come back to my home area and continue my recovery in a different style. I have begun a new treatment that's very much faith based, as well as A.A. I can honestly say I am a new person today. My emptiness I have always tried to fill with something or someone is beginning to fill through my deepening relationship with GOD. The mixture of A.A. and spiritual guidance has absolutely changed my whole way of looking at and reacting to life. I know I will never have to pick up a drink ever again..... and still have serenity.
