One of the other questions that comes up as what does a pipeline inspector do? Well, to answer that I wear multiple hats, depending on what needs to be done. One day I inspect the Coating application on pipe. Another day I may be inspecting backfilling of a pipeline. Because of my training, I take on the role that I’m assigned and that could be any pipeline specialty, which is considerable. The work is very demanding usually working 10 to 14 hours a day and sometimes longer. The work is very satisfying when a job is complete.
