There is Logic and Emotion, never the twain shall meet! Individually either can be an issue creating a Ticking Time Boom in the Brain. I am a man, working on the living part of life! Was Emotion a mistake of nature or does it have purpose? Everything in life requires thought which suggests that well-balanced thinking is important. However, we are not taught that these two functions were meant as companions of one another. What if we train our Emotions to serve Logic, with it bending to embrace of Emotional? I love Music, particularly rock n roll, reading the words, assuming they have purpose. Bernie Taupin who wrote the 1974 song "Ticking" said his goal was to make people think. This is Logical by itself, but what happens when you set the words to music? You achieve balance through Harmony! Additionally, the Barefoot man who lived the simple life suggested that we find the equitable balance of "Love thy Neighbor" to offset the harshness of an Eye for an Eye of the Law of Nature and of Nature's God! John Lennon said "People asking questions lost in confusion, I tell them there's problem only solutions." I suggest the problem within the Big Picture has resulted from the lack of well balanced conscience thought. Gardening is a training toward balance, results in a gardener who cares a lot, weeding out the tears to grow a good crop. The goal is to live a life that fills your Empty Garden.
