About Me:
I am a native californian who lives in an old, ramshackle house in one of L.A.'s old, ramshackle neighborhoods (that's okay - the hipsters dig it, and property values are going up). I would love to get back into hiking, backpacking, and camping. also, it would be nice to enjoy cultural activities with someone now and then (you know: theater, music, art). Being a homebody is okay - but not all the time. I'm an avid reader, and must admit a certain level of puzzlement over someone who isn't. Rumor has it that I'm a fairly decent cook, although I've been known to throw up my hands, abdicate responsibility, and hide behind frozen pizzas. weird quirks? Of course! i harbor a strong fascination of strange roadside attractions. I'll hold conversations with anything at the drop of a hat. I find it difficult not to enter public water features. I enjoy playing "dress up" in the bedroom. my favorite items of decoration are rusty circular saw blades and animal bones. being the owner of an older house, i am gradually picking up knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and masonry(this last being my favorite).

I'd like to meet a man who is around my age (give or take 5 years) who isn't through with living or having new experiences . someone who likes to stretch himself intellectually, physically and emotionally.
